Bonjour.

Ça fait bien longtemps depuis mon dernier disque, presque neuf ans.

Je suis revenu vivre en France. Durant cette période de transition, j’ai travaillé sur deux disques.

Voici le premier, “Introspection”, naviguant principalement autour du piano et disponible maintenant.

Je m’excuse pour les différents reports. J’étais bien trop optimiste à propos du temps que ça me prendrait.

Je voulais garder les imperfections dans l’enregistrement, le souffle, les bruits, les craquements, les sons de marteaux et parfois les toutes premières versions enregistrées avec de petits enregistreurs pour que l’auditeur puisse avoir la sensation d’être avec moi dans la pièce.

La pochette est une œuvre du peintre allemand Werner Knaupp (“Westmännerinseln 11.11.2011”, photographie par Annette Kradisch), extraite d’une série réalisée durant un séjour en Islande. 

Dans ma recherche visuelle, je suis tombé par hasard sur son travail et la connexion avec mon projet était évidente.

Le deuxième disque, “Haunted Melody”, sera une continuité de mes travaux précédents avec voix et électronique assez mélancolique. J’aime beaucoup ces morceaux et j’ai hâte de les partager avec vous.

Même si je vais commencer à jouer sur scène ce premier disque, j’inclurais dans mes concerts des morceaux du prochain album.

J’espère qu’“Introspection” vous apportera un temps de réflexion, de calme et de sérénité… C’était un exercice différent, mais ces deux disques sont importants pour moi.

It’s been a long time since my last record, almost 9 years.

I came back to live in France.

During this transition time I was working on two albums.

Here is the first one, mostly around the piano and introspection and it’s coming out now.

I want to apologize for the delay it took me. 

I was overly optimistic about the time it would take.

I wanted to keep the imperfections in the recording: breathing, wooden noises, hammer sounds and sometimes the first original takes for the listener to have the sensation to be with me inside the room. 

The artwork is from the German painter Werner Knaupp (“ Westmännerinseln 11.11.2011 “ Photography by Annette Kradisch) from a series he painted during a journey to Iceland.

In search of artwork I fell by chance on his work and I really felt a connection with my music. He was so kind to let me use it.

The second record “Haunted Melody” will be more of a continuation of my previous electronic work with vocals and quite melancholic. I really enjoy those tracks and I can’t wait to share them with you.

Even if my live set should start with the piano project, I will already play some songs from the next album in the forthcoming months.

I hope Introspection could bring you some time of reflection, calm and peace…

It was a different exercise but those two records are some important steps for myself.
